As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with the teaching team to ensure students are supported both academically and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one and small group support, assisting with lesson delivery, and maintaining an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing additional classroom support. Support students with their learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Encourage student participation and confidence in the classroom. Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment. Support students with literacy, numeracy, and other key curriculum areas. Assist with behaviour management and student well-being. Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to meet the needs of all learners. Requirements: To excel as a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will need: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role. A genuine desire to work with children and help them succeed academically and personally. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude to overcome challenges. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not mandatory). A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education. Why Join GSL Education?
