Your new company
Our client is an ambitious, owner-managed, diverse group of businesses associated with the construction industry based in Carlisle. They have a strong local presence and an excellent reputation with their customers throughout the local area. Due to the upcoming retirement of the current post-holder, we are looking for a talented Accounts Manager to work closely with the 2 Directors to ensure the financial information for the group businesses is processed in a timely and accurate manner to aid strategic business decisions.
Your new role
Working closely with the 2 company Directors, the role offers varied duties that include:
1. Processing all financial transactions for the Group companies on to Sage line 50
2. Reconciliation of the monthly debtors and statements
3. Project expenditure is recorded and billed to customers on completion
4. Processing subcontractors checking tax statuses and deductions
5. Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly CIS for 3 of the Group companies
6. Processing payroll on Sage Payroll for all employees and entering Payroll journals
7. Preparation and reconciliation of VAT returns for the 5 group businesses, calculating partial exemption for others
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Manager role with strong Sage experience
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
* Good Excel skills
* Self-starter
What you'll get in return
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
28 days annual leave
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday with flexibility, will also consider 4 days and reduced hours
