What’s the Role: Temporary Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. The ability to be resilient, communicate effectively, and utilize a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff teams support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role, and we encourage staff to use their humour, sense of fun, and creativity in supporting our individuals with day-to-day life.
Where You Would Work: Arlee Respite, Dundalk - Co Louth
Arlee Respite Service is founded upon the values and vision of Praxis Care. Arlee’s vision is leading the co-production of innovative, individualised care and support approaches with the mission of empowering lives that are valued, meaningful, and inclusive regardless of complexity of need, every day.
Arlee provides planned residential respite breaks in a safe and welcoming “home from home” environment. The service provides respite to a maximum of four adults at any one time, between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
The service provides safe, effective, and high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental ill health, learning disabilities, or brain injury to enable them to live as independently as possible in their own community. A person-centred approach to the individual we support's needs is implemented within Arlee, and each person has a named key worker.
Staffing Information:
* Daily sleepover staff member/shift leader: 11am-11:30am (including 30 min handover)
* Daily awake at night duty: 10pm to 10am
* Monday to Friday: 3pm-10pm shift
* Saturday and Sunday: 10am-10pm shift

Training:

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Part Time Position Available: (24 Hours per week)
€27,990 - €38,844 per annum (Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €101.60 per night applies)
