Pay Rate: £17.94 - £19.77 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Remote Work: until March 31st, 2025, with possible extensions
Job Purpose:
You will provide technical support to the Geospatial Team Leader, Geospatial Advisers, and Specialists in delivering integrated spatial data analysis. This will involve transforming paper-based maps and traditional styles into dynamic online mapping solutions. You will also play a key role in helping the team understand and utilize these transformed online maps.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver a specialized digitizing service to produce key spatial data for protected areas, green spaces, and woodland grants.
2. Manage aerial imagery, maps, and spatial data archives (both digital and physical).
3. Design and publish customized GIS maps of woodlands for the team's use.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Proficient in ArcMap/ArcGIS Online, with experience in spatial data management, digitizing, and data transformation.
2. Skilled in map creation, styling, and setting GIS product standards.
3. Knowledge of handling sensitive data and managing map/aerial photo archives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong technical knowledge of GIS, spatial data management, and map design.
2. Strong analytical skills to solve technical challenges and provide specialist solutions.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to support shared objectives and priorities.
