Job Description:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring the upkeep and efficiency of all plant equipment and machinery. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead a proactive approach to both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure efficient repair and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including MAPP compliance.
* Oversee budgeting for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
* Manage maintenance engineers, ensuring they are trained and qualified for all tasks.
* Maintain records, including corrective maintenance registers and preventative maintenance logs.
* Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to permit-to-work procedures.
* Respond to breakdowns swiftly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
* Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are available.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and pump systems.
Experience with COMAH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.
Hands-on approach with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of ERP systems for maintenance management.
Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
Relevant qualifications in electrical/mechanical engineering or maintenance.
