Responsibilities:
1. Lead activities in production, quality, and manufacturing engineering.
2. Ensure a consistent/detailed approach using Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Tools such as 8D or 5 Whys.
3. Improve quality in line with customer expectations, industry standards, and company objectives.
4. Apply methods for cost-efficient manufacturing.
Requirements:
Essential skills and experience:
1. A track record of completing projects on time and of good quality in a complex environment.
2. A track record of taking ownership for outcomes beyond immediate disciplinary control.
3. A structured and organized approach to work and problem-solving.
4. Five years’ experience working in similar manufacturing environments and a good understanding of using Quality and Process management tools and methodologies.
Desirable skills and experience:
1. Use of quality methods and tools.
2. Profound understanding of operations in machining, tooling, welding, assembly, and finishing.
3. Good communication skills (both upstream and downstream, and with external contacts) and ability to train others, facilitate quality events, and meetings including cross-functional teams.
4. Keen to drive improvements and capable of thinking outside of the box.
Education and Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering: preferably mechanical engineering.
