The role:
Frederick Gent School are looking to appoint a full time Assistant Headteacher to join their Senior Leadership Team. This role will take a lead on Teaching & Learning across the school with a key focus being the ongoing improvement of academic outcomes.
The person:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering academic results through a previous role as an effective Head of Department or middle leader. The post holder will need the ability to show evidence of their achievements in improving academic results as well as the ability to explain how their achievements would be transferred to the context of Frederick Gent School. The successful candidate will more generally have a strong eye for detail and be driven to achieve outstanding results in all areas of the role.
It is essential to have a strong background in Teaching & Learning, and it would be advantageous to have experience in timetabling, budgeting and/or reviewing staffing needs. It would also be relevant to have experience of working with Trainee Teachers, in either a mentoring capacity or through whole school responsibility.
Applications will be particularly welcome from curriculum areas of English, Science, Humanities or Languages; however, all faculty areas will be considered.
