About the Role: As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the classroom, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and encouragement to succeed. You will work alongside the class teacher to provide tailored support and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for SEND pupils, both inside and outside of the classroom. Assist in the implementation of tailored learning plans and strategies to support pupils' individual needs. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor progress and adapt support as needed. Support the emotional and social development of SEND pupils, helping to build their confidence and independence. Work collaboratively with other teaching assistants, teachers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all pupils feel valued and supported. What We Are Looking For: A qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of SEND. Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential). A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting children with a range of learning and emotional needs. A commitment to providing high-quality support and promoting inclusion in the classroom. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, staff, and parents. A willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
