Responsibilities
Child Development Practitioner
Band 4 - £26,530 - £29,114
Hours - 1.2 WTE
Permanent
We have an excellent opportunity for experienced and qualified Child Development Practitioners to join our 0-19 Duty Team and be part of a dynamic team supporting children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
The post holders will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the 0-19 service and may be required to cover core mandated assessments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional advice and intervention strategies for children and families.
* Support early identification of developmental concerns and assist in implementing appropriate interventions.
* Participate in duty team functions, responding to referrals and ensuring timely support for service users.
* Provide parent/carer advice over telephone or video consultation.
* Reporting for assessment clinics.
* Conduct infant feeding early support calls.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support capacity.
* Strong knowledge of child development principles and early intervention strategies.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team.
* Excellent communication and record-keeping skills, including reporting.
* Experience in offering infant feeding advice to parents.
* Knowledge of local services and agencies within the Kirklees locality.
