The Role
Repairs Supervisor opportunity! Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Supervisor to join our successful team at Town & Country Housing repairs. This will be covering Responsive Repairs and maintenance for Social Housing across Kent which includes Tunbridge wells, Dartford, Canterbury and Dover and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to manage, support and motivate a team of Tradespeople to complete work, first time, on time, safely and efficiently. You will need to work closely with various departments and the Client at all levels to ensure an excellent service is delivered. You will work alongside other Supervisors all delivering to various geographical areas and workstreams.
The Project
The Supervisor will be responsible for a team of Trades providing direct line management. As the Supervisor, you will motivate, coach and retain our tradespeople and ensure commitment, outstanding workmanship and performance in line with KPI's. You will be involved with the selection and recruitment of tradespeople, performance management, and devising a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency profile of all team members. Assist the Production Manager to ensure operational performance is optimised and Trade efficiency is at its maximum. Continually review with the Production Manager Trade performance to ensure efficiency and first-time fix ratio is maximised whilst non-productive time is kept to an absolute minimum. You will ensure that a high-quality team is maintained including performance management, succession planning, and personal development. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders. Deliver Trade and vehicle audits in line with Company Health & Safety policy. Management of Sub-Contractors ensuring performance and quality of works undertaken is to the highest of standards. Health and Safety performance of Sub-Contractors will be critical, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of how to manage sub-contractors effectively. Actively manage the Suppliers to deliver best value into the account.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential:
• Experience of supervising teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Excellent dispute resolution skills
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence (max 5 points)
Desirable:
• Social Housing experience/ Good understanding of property maintenance
• City & Guilds to appropriate level or equivalent
• Experience of mobile device use/ PDA’s use
• Productive and a ‘Can do’ attitude
• Professional approach with high standards
