We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to join us at ACTION in the ground water control department. The Senior Site Engineer will ensure execution of projects (15-20) for sites assigned as per contract requirements and project guidelines in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Plus, demonstrate absolute conformance in preparing system history reports on a daily basis accurately and record all project activities accurately in the Resource Management System.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
* Plan and coordinate execution of all operational works, for the sites assigned.
* Ensuring execution of activities as per project specifications.
* Ensuring reports are generated per site assigned.
* Diligently monitor works assigned for resources on site and establish efficient means to optimize utilization and minimize overtime and other costs.
* Participate in meetings with clients regarding project progression and performance on site, as and when required.
* Responsible for all action assets, resources and the utilization and allocation for these in an efficient and optimal manner.
* Serves as a single point of contact for all site operation related aspects for the Line Manager as well as the Operations team assigned.
* Support the Line Manager by providing technical, engineering, and practical judgment during initiation & through the project life cycle.
* Ensure compliance to all legal and regulatory laws including QHSE standards and reviews site conditions for safety and quality.
* Ensure safety targets and zero tolerances for unsafe working practices and conditions.
* Notify the Line Manager of any defects, mistakes, errors, contamination or variations identified.
* Ensure all the applicable quality checklists are properly completed. Cross Functional Support/Training.
* Identify & address problems and opportunities; brings those which are appropriate to the Line Manager; and, facilitates discussion & deliberation.
* Assist the Line Manager in preparing a rolling manpower plan for 6 months and justify needs for additional resources.
Qualification Requirements
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an internationally recognized University.
* Knowledge in Groundwater control.
* Experience in supervising multiple Construction projects.
* Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide personnel at multiple sites.
* Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
* Excellent team skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively across variety of internal and external stakeholders;
* Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
* Generally, 8+ years of related work experience in a similar industry and role.
