Are you an infrastructure support specialist with a penchant for solving complex technical challenges?
Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.
Do you long for the diversity of working across both cloud and on-premise platforms?
We’re working with one of our favourite clients and behemoth of the Energy sector as they look to bring in a new Infrastructure Support Analyst into the team. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimising their private and public cloud platforms, ensuring secure, reliable delivery for their customers.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure across physical data-centres and public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure. You’ll ensure networks, servers, storage, and virtualisation environments are running optimally, performing patch management, system updates, and vulnerability mitigation to maintain security and compliance.
Automation will be key, and you’ll use tools like PowerShell to streamline processes and improve efficiency. When incidents occur, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve them promptly, escalating issues as necessary to meet SLAs. You’ll also collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless operations, playing a vital role in delivering robust and innovative solutions for a growing client base.
What You’ll Bring:
* 2nd Line Server Support experience, with expertise in VMware and Hyper-V.
* Soft skills to deal with a mix of technical and non-technical clients/stakeholders
* Strong background in infrastructure networks, hardware, and software.
* Experience deploying and maintaining systems in private and public cloud environments.
* Scripting skills using PowerShell and familiarity with automated monitoring tools.
* Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices.
* Microsoft or CompTIA certifications are highly desirable.
What can they offer you?
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values both teamwork and personal growth. The company operates a hybrid working model, with the team meeting in the Chorley office 2–3 times a week to share ideas and work together effectively.
This role offers plenty of opportunities to progress your career. Many team members have used the Infrastructure Support function as a springboard into roles in DevOps or SecOps, and you’ll have access to training and certifications to help you take that next step. If you’re looking for a role where you can grow and make an impact, this is it.
As always, you know where we are.....
