QUALITY INSPECTOR
Permanent role, 39 hour week, 8.45am - 5pm Monday to Thursday & 7.45am - 1pm on Friday, Wellingborough based company, £28,000 - £32,000 per annum + Benefits
Due to my client's expansion of their current business, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role of the Quality Inspector will be to ensure that all products manufactured meet specifications required by their customers. You will also ensure that final inspection of the parts is completed prior to dispatch. You will be involved in dealing with any quality issues raised by customers ensuring they are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Overall responsibilities will be the following:
* Carry out audit inspections and record findings as appropriate.
* Conduct thorough manufacturing inspections of the parts during production and at the end of the process.
* Work with the engineering, production, and quality teams to recommend corrective actions.
* Follow standard operating procedures and train others on how to inspect parts.
* Be familiar with using implements such as verniers and gauges.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role, candidates need to have previously worked in a Quality Inspecting role with experience of inspecting painted and powder-coated parts. Other essential experience required is the following:
* Proven experience as a quality inspector in the automotive/aerospace industry.
* Proficiency in using measurement tools & test equipment such as verniers, mics, and gauges.
* Ability to interpret customer standards and specifications.
* Familiarity with quality tools, standards, and customer expectations.
* Analytical skills & attention to detail with the ability to identify potential quality issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
