Position:
Head of Marketing – Hybrid role
We are looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the marketing function and help guide the business on its go to market strategy. As part of the leadership team, you will plan and execute internal and external marketing activities to help achieve the financial and strategic business objectives, driving the team and wider business through exciting levels of growth. The position is based at our Alderley Edge office, and in addition to the company’s direct marketing, you will have responsibility for channel marketing with publishers and resellers. You will also help and support building up the QBS brand awareness across the EMEA.

As Head of Marketing at our Alderley Edge office you will:
* Establish clear measurable marketing objectives for people, partners & publishers in line with our business strategy
* Strengthen the QBS group brand positioning in “Tech trade” particularly through corporate social media
* Position the stakeholder experience as the centre of the strategy, using innovative techniques in user experience (UX)
* Create systematic communication cadence through PR, email, social media and web
* Own publisher/vendor marketing relationships and obtain investment to build sales opportunities
* Negotiate and gain marketing budgets from strategic publishers
* Create credible/deliverable multi-touch campaigns and sell to vendors and publishers
* Measure the effectiveness of campaigns, demo ROI
* Provide guidance to a team of 5- 8 direct/indirect reports dispersed across the QBS group.
* Establish/maintain comprehensive reporting metrics and update weekly on progress
* Development of marketing automation tools and lead on the new CRM system
* Monitor competitor and customer intelligence ensuring a competitive strategy
Requirements:
The ideal Head of Marketing will have the following qualities:
* Experienced in B2B marketing preferably from the tech/software industry
* Degree level or other relevant educational qualification
* Strong on relationships with influencing skills to demonstrate ROI
* Outstanding written and spoken communication/presentation skills
* Data literate with a proven record of producing data reports
* Business awareness, commercial acumen and a hands-on management style
* Proven ability to tie demand creation efforts directly to sales pipeline
* Managed the development of social media programs
* Understanding of web dev principles and web technologies including HTML and CSS
* Familiar with an agile/iterative approach to working
* Conversant with web analytics, Google Adwords, and most generic marketing tools

The role is a hybrid role, office-based days and working from home, candidates should therefore have a reasonable commute to our Alderley Edge office. Working hours for the position are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
