Engineering Technician (Days)
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary: £43,298.00 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed at eliminating unplanned stops and optimizing maintenance costs, thereby increasing asset intensity. This includes the repairing, reporting, and analysis of unplanned technical failures, and the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance to prevent unplanned technical failures. Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem-solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, and building competence.

A day in the life of an Engineering Technician
As an Engineering Technician, you will participate in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed at eliminating unplanned stops and optimizing maintenance costs, thereby increasing asset intensity.
Key Responsibilities/Duties will include:
1. Reactive & Planned Maintenance
2. Utilize SAP CMMS system for recording breakdowns, ordering spare parts, and booking out spare parts from the technical stores
3. Project work, improvements, and upgrades
4. Logical approach to fault finding
5. Delivering training/coaching
6. TPM tools such as breakdown analysis (BDA)
7. Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and the ability to work under pressure
8. Pneumatics, Belts, Cams, Bearings, and Chains
9. Mechanical or Multi-skilled preferred
What will make you successful
The Successful Applicant:
1. Core knowledge of the 10 Principles and expert knowledge in our areas of responsibility
2. NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) (Please ensure detailed on CV and certificates will be required)
3. Experience in engineering (maintenance, industrial, services, E&A), preferably in an FMCG related manufacturing environment
4. Good knowledge of Asset maintenance
5. Good knowledge of AMM system (SAP PM module)
6. Knowledge of TPM methodology is preferred
