Your Role as SEN Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for students with additional learning needs across KS3 and KS4. Differentiate the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring a focus on developing key life skills, communication, and independence. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students. Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning goals. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring regular communication about student progress and wellbeing. Participate in the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to the annual review process. Who We’re Looking For: A qualified SEN Teacher with experience working with students with a range of learning needs. A patient, empathetic, and flexible teaching approach. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt lessons and resources to suit individual student needs. Experience using different communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and supporting students with sensory or emotional needs is an advantage.
