What will you be doing as a Construction Manager Graduate? Be responsible for overall safety, quality, cost control, customer/ client satisfaction and delivery if the works program. Help plan and establish procedures in order to ensure all construction operations. Project schedules and milestones are achieved. Organise, direct and efficiently use all resources, including subcontractors and supplier, delivering the highest standard or workmanship and value for money. Ensure full compliance with our 100% Safe value and Perfect Delivery philosophy. Ensure weekly, monthly and year end targets are achieved and all projects are completed within the allotted timescales. Support all process and procedures to ensure the company is compliant with legislative requirements and company agreed internal standards. Proactively motivate and develop the workforce, embedding a 'right first time' culture. Ensure that you take personal responsibility and accountability for your actions. Always promote a professional and courteous image Attend meetings and stakeholder reviews.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject.
* Knowledge of company systems and relevant legislation.
* Sound commercial and contractual knowledge.
* Advanced risk control skills.
* Knowledge of resource utilisation and control.
* Ability to travel or drive to remote site locations if needed.
* Ideally some exposure to a construction environment.
You will need the ability to:
* Be geographically mobile - our projects and supply chain partners are UK wide and can be in rural and remote locations. You will need to be able to commit to travelling independently to sites and able to stay away from home for short and longer periods.
* Ability to work in a team environment and contributing across a business unit or area with good management skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance.
* Have a desire to learn with a strong interest in professional growth and personal development.
* Good operational planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
