We are looking for a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team and help deliver strengths-based assessments and person-centred support to individuals with care and support needs in Westmorland and Furness. In this role, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote independence and achieve better outcomes for the people we support. You will also play a key role in leading, organising, and coordinating team activities, deputising for the Team Manager as needed.
The successful candidate will manage a small caseload, handling complex assessments, including moving and handling, seating, and major adaptations. You will provide professional supervision to colleagues, contribute to service development, and ensure best practice in line with HCPC and Royal College of Occupational Therapy standards. Who we are looking for…
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist who holds an accredited Occupational Therapy degree (or equivalent qualification) and is registered with the appropriate professional body. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and share in our vision to have “People living in a place they call home with the people and things that they love, in communities where they look out for one another, doing the things that matter to them.”
You will bring in-depth knowledge of adult services, national policies, and relevant legislation, along with experience in independent assessments, caseload management, and delivering person-centred support. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you will be expected to inspire, mentor, and empower others while maintaining a balanced approach to risk management.
