Quality Manager
We've got two fantastic new positions to join our brilliant Technical Team at as a Quality Manager based at our Poole Bakery!

Our site at Poole Bakery produces chilled savoury sausage rolls, hot pies, pasties and slices. The business has been producing
products at its current site since 1937 and previously as Millers of Poole.
Hours: 3 on 3 off shift pattern 6am - 6pm
Location: Poole Bakery, BH15 2AS
Salary: £38,000
Purpose: To ensure the business comply with the group, customers, BRC standards and drive continuous improvement to factory
standards to provide the company with a robust due diligence defence.
Your Duties Will Include:
* Conduct food safety risk assessments and validations management.
* Design and perform CCP, vegan cleaning, allergen cleaning and prerequisites validations following Group and customers’
standards
* Review cleaning instruction card to reflect correct working methods
* Support HACCP Team as required.
* Sample collection as required.
* Conduct internal audits; quality system, fabrication, CCPs, traceability, mass balance, and GMP audits according to company
schedule.
* Conduct trend analysis for non-conformances and working with other departments to ensure corrective and preventative actions
are in place addressing the root cause.
* Ensure CCPs QC are properly trained with up-to-date CCP procedures, and CCPs production documentation are completed to
standard.
* Update and maintain auditing templates, procedure and provide coaching to internal auditors.
* Supports the Factory Technical Manager to ensure site is audit ready every day.
* Manage small team of Quality Control Technicians
* Gap analysis complete traceability investigations as required.
* Deputising the Factory Technical in the event of holiday and absence
* Subject Matter Expert for CCPs including trouble shooting of metal detectors, X-Rays, Auto coding and checkweighers.
* Management of customer complaints investigations.
* Management of exports documentations based on traceability.
* Concessions management. Risk assessment and granting / rejecting concessions needed by factory. Trending concessions and
liaising with relevant departments to lower the number of concessions.
* Conceive different KPI reports as required by the site, group, and/or customers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Food degree or relevant field qualification
* Experience working with Quality Management systems
* Applied knowledge of quality assurance principles and GMP
* HACCP Level 2 (minimum)
* Food Safety Level 3 (minimum)
* Internal audit experience
* Gap analysis and traceability skill
* Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills.
* Experience of managing a small team (desirable)
* Influencing skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excell, PowerPoint
