Artemis Human Capital is thrilled to be working in partnership with Dominican College Fortwilliam as they seek to appoint a Head of Finance and Corporate Services. Dominican college is a highly esteemed voluntary Grammar school located in Fortwilliam Park, Belfast. Established in 1930, the school boasts rich history and tradition while continually evolving to meet the diverse needs, aptitudes, and ambitions of its pupils. Renowned for its longstanding record of academic excellence and fostering high aspirations, Dominican College remains a pillar for educational excellence. As an upcoming retirement approaches, they are eager to appoint a Head of Finance and Corporate Services to ensure a smooth transition and continued excellence in the role. Joining the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance and Corporate Services will drive the planning, leadership, and oversight of the school's support services and corporate priorities in alignment with the School Development Plan. Reporting directly to the Principal and the Board of Governors, this role is central to the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of key support functions, including strategic planning, financial management, human resources, estate and facilities management, risk management, health and safety, and project management. The Role: Participate in the development and delivery of the schools strategic plan across finance, human resources, estate and facilities management Oversee financial management to include preparation of annual budgets and statements of accounts Provide financial policy advice and support to the Principal and Board of Governors Monitor and control revenue and capital expenditure Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to provide guidance and support for managers in efficient HR and staff management Oversee general maintenance of the Schools buildings and grounds Liaise with the Department of Education and EANI to manage grants payable to the College in accordance with current regulations The Person: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience Proven experience managing corporate services functions to include HR, Estates and Health & Safety Strong strategic leadership skills Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders Click on the link below to apply for this opportunity or to request a full candidate pack, please contact Laura Haggan in the strictest confidence.
