The Opportunity
Join Aggregate Industries as aHMEAreaManager, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality fleet management services across the North region. This is a key leadership position focused on maximising equipment availability, optimising maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvement in heavy mobile equipment (HME) operations. If you're passionate about fleet management, cost control, and operational efficiency, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
* Support the Head of Mobile Plant and Operations teams in delivering a "right first time" fleet management strategy.
* Oversee all regional repair and maintenance activities, ensuring high equipment availability and reliability.
* Drive cost efficiency by managing budgets, improving supply chain performance, and overseeing the HME rebuild process.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, embedding a safety-first culture across all sites.
* Conduct asset inspections and follow up on condition monitoring results to maintain optimal fleet performance.
* Provide technical and engineering support, including supplier visits, operator coaching, and process optimisation.
* Manage risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are applied in all maintenance activities.
* Deliver accurate and timely KPI reporting, tracking supply chain performance and operational effectiveness.
Who You Are
Youre an experienced HME Area Managerwith a strong background in HME engineering, maintenance systems, and supplier management. Your ability to drive operational efficiencies, lead teams, and ensure compliance makes you a key asset.
* Extensive experience in HME engineering, plant maintenance, and fleet optimisation, with a proven track record in managing suppliers and contractors.
* Strong leadership, financial management, and project management abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Results-driven, highly organised, and confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* In-depth understanding of Caterpillar, Volvo, JCB, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment, along with sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices.
* Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, including overnight stays.
