We are ABPmer, a marine consultancy and survey company that specializes in understanding one of the most complex environments on earth.
We are involved in all marine and coastal sectors, from ports to offshore wind, flood risk management to marine habitat creation and restoration. Our technical teams work across industry for all kinds of clients, supporting developers, government and its regulators, statutory nature conservation bodies and non-governmental organisations, with a diverse portfolio of projects and services; no two projects or days are the same.
Known for our technical ability, professionalism, and service excellence, we have been helping clients sustainably manage, operate and develop in the marine environment for 75 years. Our quality of service and customer care is due to our staff and our culture. We offer an environment focused on collaboration, continuous learning and career progression.
We are looking for a principal water quality specialist to join our expanding group of marine water quality practitioners. These projects typically support environmental permitting and licensing.
We also deliver larger hydrodynamic and water quality studies to optimise new waterfront developments, design sustainable intake and outfalls or examine the potential impact of contaminant release into the marine environment (including potential release of contaminated sediment).

3. Meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to stay organised and self-motivated, with excellent report writing and engaging presentation skills
4. A strong commitment to sustainable development in the marine environment, keen to apply your expertise to bespoke problems
You will have skills and experience in:
1. Delivering a range of technical water quality analysis and consultancy reports
2. Water and sediment quality using a range of analysis tools

5. Environmental Impact Assessment
6. Environmental permitting and licensing
Experience in some or all the following would also be beneficial:
