Position Details:
Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Salary: £13 - £15 per hour (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)
Type: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities of the SEMH Teaching Assistant:
Support students with SEMH needs in their academic, social, and emotional development.
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing tailored learning plans.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Requirements for the SEMH Teaching Assistant Role:
Relevant SEN/SEMH qualification or experience preferred.
A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to near King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
