This role is pan-Dorset post and will require travelling in your own vehicle visiting Patients in varying Healthcare Settings.
As the Tissue Viability Nurse, you will provide effective evidence-based comprehensive specialist Tissue Viability advice for Dorset Health Care, plan and co-ordinate meetings as required to discuss findings of specific investigations with all relevant parties to include other professionals and agencies as required. You will actively contribute to the prevention of Pressure Ulcers and management of complex wounds across Dorset Health Care and additional partner organisations. Provide positive, effective communication and evidence-based advice to staff, patients, relatives, and carers.
The Tissue Viability Nurse post is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application. Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Main duties of the job
1. To deliver training formally and informally on all aspects of Tissue Viability to all staff groups on topics such as pressure ulcer prevention and management, Tissue Viability, and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy.
2. To support the Tissue Viability services in delivering evidenced-based care.
3. You will work with a range of internal and external partners in the delivery of a robust Tissue Viability strategy and service across the organisation.
