With a GOOD ofsted rating the sixth form are looking for a criminology teacher to provide cover from September 2024 – January 2025.
Your new role
In this role you will be teaching criminology to students within KS5. This job will begin in September on a full-time supply basis through to January 2025. You will be expected to teach students in KS5 the importance of criminological theories and the changing awareness of crime. Your responsibilities will include marking work, giving constructive feedback, and creating / delivering engaging lesson plans. This is a great opportunity for lecturers / tutors / professors to branch into secondary education.
What you'll need to succeed
Although preferred, a teaching qualification is not essential, but you will need to have taught criminology to students in some capacity. Ideally, you will be able to work on a full-time basis. However, for the right candidate part-time can be considered. You must bemitted to upholding and improving standards, with a greatmitment to safeguarding. You will be a confident individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.
