Events and Marketing Coordinator
To identify, plan and deliver a programme of high impact, cost-effective events to support the marketing strategy and the business objectives. Deliver excellence in marketing communications with effective events and memorable marketing support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proactively engage with colleagues around the business to identify requirements and opportunities for external events.
2. Build relationships with external suppliers to create and optimise events opportunities.
3. Set up and manage a comprehensive, cost-effective, and creative rolling events programme across all business units.
4. Take responsibility for ensuring quality events are executed in a timely manner, keeping within budgets.
5. Ensure all events are compliant with brand guidelines and agreed standards.
6. Be personally responsible for setting up event booths, including building the event stand and coordinating event personnel.
7. Keep up to date with events best practices and provide suggestions on how to continuously develop our events presentation.
8. Produce insightful post-event reports to gauge effectiveness against agreed objectives to inform future decision-making.
9. Adhere to company risk management processes and procedures, including reporting of incidents and/or breaches.
10. Produce effective communications before, during, and after the event and collaborate with the digital marketers to drive engagement.
11. Source and procure corporate merchandise to enhance engagement at our events.
12. Help implement marketing campaigns and activities, including new product launches, internal communications, marketing, and brand initiatives.
13. Support the planning and development of marketing materials, including direct mailings based on agreed objectives.
14. Support offline marketing activities, including direct mail in line with agreed objectives.
15. Create content for use in campaigns to support the marketing team.
16. Carry out other duties reasonably falling within the purview of this post.
The successful candidate will be prepared to travel to wherever the events plan takes them and be open to working additional hours on occasion, which they will recoup in lieu. There are approximately 30 events per year, 50% of which will require an overnight stay.
This role needs someone who is open to development and learning, has a good work ethic, and works well in a team.
