Job Details
1. Job Title: Financial Controller
2. Reporting to: CFO
3. Job Details: 6-month interim contract
4. Salary: £80,000- £85,000
5. Hybrid/office working: 3 days a week required on site/ in the office
Main Purpose of Job:
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Group of companies meets its strategic aims through the optimisation of financial performance. Responsible for managing the finance team and ensuring that financial records are kept up to date, so that information is provided accurately and timely to enable decision-making.
Principle Accountabilities:
6. Manage, lead and direct the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial information.
7. Ensure that the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams are managed effectively to ensure optimum performance, providing hands-on support as and when required.
8. Manage cash flow and weekly payment runs, providing robust cash flow reporting and forecasting.
9. Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
10. Investigate and manage variances to identify opportunities and inefficiencies for better controls and cost savings.
11. Reconcile balance sheets across the group companies ensure that the balance sheets are clean and accurate every month to include Fixed Assets, Stock, Accruals and Prepayments as key areas.
12. Lead and manage the audit process, ensuring that all audit files are prepared accurately and on time, and work with the CFO on the approval of the statutory accounts.
13. Maintain and develop internal financial systems, controls and processes.
14. Ensure that regulatory returns are completed for all regulatory bodies.
15. Ensure monthly insurance returns are completed and submitted.
16. Manage the company credit cards and ensure risk management procedures and controls are in place.
17. Manage the VAT compliance and reporting process.
18. Work with the Senior Leadership team to deliver the strategic plan.
19. Liaise with the company's merchant service providers on day-to-day matters.
20. Assist the CFO in formulating the financial targets and budgets in accordance with the company's strategic aims on an annual basis.

25. Ensure annual audits are completed on time.
26. Ensure accounts payable and receivable are managed and information is up-to-date.
27. Ensure that cash flow is managed in line with budgets.
28. Ensure that all returns are submitted on time.
