We have an exciting opportunity within an Accountancy practice for a Bookkeeper, to be based in their Bury St Edmunds office.
The Role:
1. Supporting Bury Office client managers with bookkeeping tasks.
2. Managing a small, growing portfolio based on knowledge and experience.
3. Ensuring all monthly and quarterly bookkeeping work is maintained to a high standard.
4. Communicating with clients weaknesses in their books and suggesting improvements.
5. Supporting and training junior staff.
6. Preparing VAT returns for client manager review.
The Applicant:
1. Experienced in bookkeeping, ideally within practice.
2. Comfortable with all bookkeeping software including but not exclusively - QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, DEXT.
3. Organised and methodical.
4. Professional and strong communication skills.
5. Able to build and maintain excellent client relationships.
6. Must be highly enthusiastic and self-motivated, can work as part of a team or independently.
