Manual Machinist / Machinist / Lathe Operator required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The Manual Machinist / Machinist / Lathe Operator shall be operating manual lathes and mills to produce and repair precision parts for various mechanical products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manual machining including precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, turning, and more.

Manual Machinist / Machine Technician / Lathe Operator Role

* Provide manual machining including precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, turning, and more.
* Perform accurate centre lathe turning for component manufacturing and repair.
* Use metrology equipment to ensure precise measurement and compliance with specifications.
* Participate in training for additional skills, such as thermal spraying and welding, to expand expertise.
* Liaise with various engineering departments.


Machinist / Manual Machinist / Lathe Operator Requirements:

* Experience with manual lathes, manual machine tools, and mechanical assemblies.
* Proven experience with manual machine tools such as lathes and mills, and mechanical assemblies.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Apprenticeship or engineering qualification in mechanical or machining disciplines is advantageous.
* Ability to read technical drawings, set up machines, and ensure adherence to tight tolerances is essential.
* Must be commutable to the workshop in Ramsgate.
