Exciting Opportunity for a Marine Engineer in Lowestoft Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for marine mechanics? Our client, a leading marine services provider, is expanding its operations and is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join their team in Lowestoft. Key Responsibilities: Efficient Repairs: Perform timely and safe repairs on vessels onboard and within the workshop. High Standards: Ensure all duties are executed to the highest standards, maintaining the integrity and reliability of the fleet. Maintenance Records: Keep the Planned Maintenance records up to date as per company approvals. Out-of-Hours Support: Offer critical support outside regular working hours when necessary. QHSE Policies: Actively promote and adhere to the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Qualifications & Skills: Engineering Background: A solid foundation in marine or general engineering, with knowledge of light vehicles, motorcycles, or HGV mechanics. Engine Knowledge: Proficiency in handling petrol 2/4 stroke engines or diesel engines. Electrics and Marine Knowledge: Familiarity with 12-volt electrics and the marine industry is a plus. LOCATION: Lowestoft (very occasional travel may be required) PAY: £33,415.20 per year, with overtime rates in addition. HOURS: 39 standard hours per week; Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4:00pm (30 min lunch), Fri 7:30am-3:00pm (30 min).
