The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Work Experience Coordinator to work in the College’s Careers Department. The successful applicant will be required to lead and coordinate the Work Experience provision within the College and develop links with employers to provide opportunities for students.
The post is available immediately on a permanent, part-time basis, term-time only. It is anticipated that the post holder will spend the majority of their time working specifically in the work experience area, but a flexible approach to working will be required according to demand and the time in the academic year.
The post requires commitment and excellent organisational skills. Previous experience of working within a careers or work experience environment is desirable, but not essential. The post holder will spend a significant amount of the working day in a busy office environment and will be required to handle phone calls from parents and interested parties, as well as face-to-face interactions with students.
The post carries an expectation for some occasional mandatory evening activities (Open Evenings and Careers events). However, there are numerous optional opportunities for evening work (Interview Evenings for Students) should the post holder be interested in them for additional remuneration.
Please see www.reigate.ac.uk/jobs for further details and an application form. Closing date: 9.00 am on Tuesday 22 April 2025.
Reigate College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Please note that it is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. The college will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates in accordance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
