We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Finance Manager within the Finance department to drive and implement all finance processes.
Responsibilities
Monthly Management and Financial Reporting
* Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet for all entities
* Monthly Income Accruals and Deferred Income
* Monthly Cost Accruals and Prepayments
* Direct cost accrual reviews and eliminated unnecessary accruals
* Overheads (identify any extreme expenditure) and production stock accounts
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Consolidation of management accounts and communicate to relevant team members and stakeholders, including:
o Monthly regional P&L's
o Payroll Journals
* Format Management Accounts for Finance Management Pack
* Review variances between actuals and budget / Forecast
* Improve on the process of monthly management accounts preparation and the quality of the reporting thereon
General
* Prepare technical accounting papers for Management and the Auditors. Document issues in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner, including journal entries and financial statement disclosures
* Co-ordinate annual Audit, work with Auditors on scope, deliverables and timing during their fieldwork and follow up queries and perform the necessary procedures and documentation
* Partnering between the Group Finance team and Divisional Teams on issues such as technical review of complex subsidiary statutory financial statements
* Tax Compliance; Global tax compliance registration, submission and returns including sales and employee taxes
o Configuration into Tower systems
o Ensure Global VAT codes have been entered correctly into the Finance system and submission is successful
o Maintain & Submit the class 1A requirements under the PSA agreements
o UK VAT Returns and HMRC VAT compliance (including all global requirements)
o Ensuring all tax submissions are accurate and deadlines met
* Supporting the consolidation and external reporting requirements of the Group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and systems for relevant accounting and reporting
o Identify process improvements and assist in the implementation of related processes and controls
* Responsible for payroll including global payroll compliance
o Validate payroll reports and reporting
* Provide high quality and practical training and education for finance and non-finance colleagues
* Update year end management accounts to reflect statutory accounts and maintain changes in the accounting system, making the appropriate accounting adjustments
* Working Capital Management; Monitor receipts and spend
* Intercompany Recharges at month end / year end
* Opex to Capex review month end / year end
* Co-ordinate and Support the finance team to meet company requirements
* Ensure that the finance team are disciplined to comply with department processes and company TSOP/TIMS - maintain and update finance processes within the company
* Reviewing all purchase quotes / orders
* Assist in implementation of Customer and Supplier applications; setting up in the finance system and completing third party vendor forms
* Finance Procedure Manual - maintain and update
* Assist with other ad hoc Group Finance related tasks and projects as required
* Be a champion of upholding delegated authorities and other processes controls
* Compliance with Tower's Integrated Management System and internal processes
Job Requirements
Education
* Qualified Accountant
Experience
* Successfully managing finance and other staff including performance management, personal and professional development, and the confidence and ability to lead and develop staff through a wide range of managerial relationships to achieve objectives.
* UK / US GAAP
Additional Training
* Experience with Epicor
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central 365
Skills
* Advanced IT skills in particular excel, PowerPoint and Word, including the ability to design, construct and interpret complex spreadsheets
