Job Role: Streetworks Coordinator
Contract Duration: 12 month contract role (Inside IR35)
Location: Remote (occasional travel to Cornwall will be required)
Salary: £265 per day
The Opportunity…
We're looking for a Streetworks Coordinator to join a global Telecoms company that is building telecoms fibre networks in Cornwall. This is a new build FTTP network deployment programme, and you would come into the region at an early stage of the build, playing a part in building the solution as they look to pass around 400,000 homes in the next 3-4 years.
The company has a strong reputation and is a global household name when it comes to Telecoms technology, offering a full turnkey solution into the UK market.
Responsibilities:
1. Report into the Project Manager and undertake all works associated with permitting, wayleaves, right of ways, and Asset Sharing (e.g., PIA in UK) for deployment of a fibre network.
2. Possess experience in fibre build across rural areas, including knowledge of road closures, road sizes, and challenges faced in rural areas; experience with closures of roads close to railway bridges and historic areas will be advantageous.
3. Manage and administer permitting, including monitoring and coordination of Streetworks activities.
4. Work closely with Build Managers and Build partners for planning and scheduling of work, ensuring all permits are administered with the correct information to avoid FPNs or charges.
5. Set up and coordinate resources, processes, strategies, and compile required documents for processing Planning Permissions, Wayleaves, private permits, Asset sharing (PIA), and TTRO's, ensuring all deliverables meet quality criteria.
The ideal candidate would have a few years of experience in permitting areas within telco/utility projects.
Please note that this is a day rate contract basis and is inside IR35. While this is a remote role, occasional travel to Cornwall will be required for meetings.
