Falmouth University’s Games Academy has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer in Esports and Livestreaming to join its dynamic teaching team. This role will teach across our BA (Hons) Game Development Programmes, mainly on the Esports and Livestreaming programme. Falmouth’s innovative Esports and Livestreaming degrees allow students to work in multidisciplinary creative teams to produce events for livestreaming in esports, to work with content creators to produce compelling livestreams of games and other material. Duties are primarily to deliver teaching material in our timetabled sessions and support the students in our various workshops and tutorials. In addition, you will be supervising esports and livestreaming teams, and guiding them through the event production process. It's an exciting time to be joining us we grow as a university, while we continue to offer of quality led, relevant courses for our students. About You This role would be very suitable for an individual currently in a professional role working with livestreamers and content creators and/ or working in the esports, as the role offers a certain amount of flexibility. We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience: A good understanding of the roles and career pathways of esports and livestreaming professionals. A good understanding of the business environment for the esports and livestreaming industries. Familiarity with research methodologies used in studying esports and livestreaming. Experience in liaising between content creators and game studios. Experience with producing esports events and building esports organisations.
