Job Description We are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a leading manufacturer of innovative measurement sensors range. The Electronic range encompasses specialist level sensing, condition monitoring, position sensors and engine control products for the process control, utilities, off-highway, motorsport and defence markets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising the production process and ensuring the quality and efficiency of electronic products. Monday to Friday. Hours are flexible and to be agreed, generally between: 8am - 4pm, or 8.30am – 4.30pm or 9am – 5pm. Design and improve manufacturing layouts to optimise workflow and productivity. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and improve product quality. Strong background and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, PCB assembly, and testing. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting problems as they arise. Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing protocols. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including health and safety guidelines. Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the electronics industry. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
