PS Limited are looking for a reliable, professional and flexible Care & Support Assistants to work in both residential care homes and the community based in and around Swindon. We need experienced Care & Support Assistants who are willing to take on work on an ad hoc basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Providing high quality person centred care and support services in line with the service users’ and organisational needs
• Contributing to the assessment of the service users’ needs, providing input into the creation, development and review of care plans under supervision involving other service providers as required and ensuring the involvement of the service user in planning and evaluating their own care
• Delivering care and support for service users’ as required to ensure their personal hygiene, dietary needs and medication needs are met whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained and positively respected at all times and in accordance with agreed care plans
• Assisting and encouraging service users to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities
• Providing support as identified within the care plan to manage complex needs, challenging behaviour and degenerative conditions
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, through accurate and timely reporting
• Providing advocacy to support service users’ and their families when required, to maximise their independence and personal potential
• Promoting self-practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate and following safeguarding procedures

Applicants require:
Essential:
• Literacy and Numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
• HVQ2 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
• Minimum 1 years paid UK experience as a Care & Support Assistant
• Enhanced DBS
• Basic Life Support Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
• Full Right To Work in the UK
• 2 references (must cover past 3 years)
Desirable:
• Full, current driving license (may be essential in some locations)
