About the Role - Principal Planning Officer

Key Responsibilities
1. Independently handling a range of Development Management (DM) cases, including minors and majors
2. Working with minimal supervision to assess and process pre-application enquiries
3. Providing technical advice and guidance to stakeholders
4. Contributing to the efficient operation of the planning service
Job Requirements
5. Significant experience in Development Management
6. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of planning legislation and policies
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders
8. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
9. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
10. Managing and mentoring junior staff members
