My Client is a leading provider of support packages to young people in the Liversedge area, West Yorkshire.
My client has a high-spec children’s residential home in Liversedge and is recruiting a Lead Practitioner to join their well-established team.
Hourly rate is £14.50 ph increasing to £14.75 after a successful probation + sleep overs at £55.
Shift pattern will be long days and long day sleeps with 5 full day sleeps a month and 5 long days 8am to 11pm with no sleeps. You will do 10 shifts per month.
Must have experience supporting young people in a residential setting.
Preferred Criteria:
1. NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care.
2. Driving License.
This role involves supporting children and young people aged between 08-18, helping to increase their independence skills.
It is essential that you have experience of working within a similar setting and preferably have completed NVQ3 Children & Young People Workforce or a similar qualification within this sector.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. High standard of general education.
2. NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care – Children and Young People (CCYP) or equivalent.
3. Willingness to undertake further training.
4. Current full driving licence with business insurance preferable.
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for the provision of support for vulnerable people (Service Users) for the Company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To assist the Young person’s allocated Social Worker in the delivery of the service.
2. Provide transport/escort to the young person as directed in line with care plans.
3. Conduct welcome and induction for Young people.
4. Ongoing assessments of Service Users’ needs.
5. Provide ongoing support and monitoring of Service Users.
6. Assist in welfare and NHS issues.
7. Preparation of reports.
8. Arrange appointments with various partner agencies.
9. Maintain regular contact with young people.
10. Inform customers of support groups.
11. Assist Move-On of Service Users.
Some shifts may also be 24 hours (sleepovers), with great flexibility, and 2-3 days a week would be full-time hours. Excellent company with a great unit.
