Due to their continued expansion and success, they are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and optimise their procurement operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving company that has experienced significant growth over the past year.\n\nAs the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
You will play a crucial role in managing supplier negotiations, implementing best practices, and driving efficiencies across the supply chain.\n\nPurchasing Manager\n\nPackage\n\n£40,000 - £45,000\n20 days + Bank Holidays\nCompany pension\nExcellent growth and progression opportunities \n\nPurchasing Manager \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and implement procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and cost savings.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.\nNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.\nManage and mentor a team of three procurement operatives, providing guidance and performance oversight.\nCollaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.\nSource new suppliers and assess their capabilities to ensure they meet company standards.\nAnalyse purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. \n\nRequirements:\n\nMinimum 2 years' experience managing people in a procurement or purchasing environment.\nMinimum 3 years' experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar role.\nLevel 3 CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.\nStrong negotiation and supplier management skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nAbility to analyse data, assess risks, and make strategic purchasing decisions.\nExperience within manufacturing, engineering, or construction industries is highly desirable.Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
