The Role
You will play a key role in managing financial operations efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Working as part of a supportive team, you will collaborate with a Head Cashier, an in-house Accountant, and the Finance Director. With a wealth of experience within the team, this role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accurate daily input of financial transactions into the accounts system
2. Processing daily banking transactions and electronic bank payments
3. Preparing and reviewing daily bank reconciliations
4. Completing inter-account transfers
5. Handling internal and external enquiries regarding financial transactions
6. Reconciling Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) and private fee payments
7. Processing supplier invoices and handling payment processing
8. Assisting with financial reporting and month-end procedures
Requirements
1. Ability to work independently and take initiative
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
3. Excellent organisational and time management skills
4. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
5. Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
6. 1 year + experience of working in a finance role

Desirable but not essential:
1. SOLAS Qualification
2. Knowledge of the Law Society of Scotland Account Rules
