Based in Bedford and reporting to our FP&A Manager, we are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to work closely with key stakeholders to provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to help drive strategic decision-making and improve overall business performance of our pubs and brewery. You must have the experience and confidence to critically appraise information and ask challenging questions, whilst being able to demonstrate gravitas as a functional expert and be able to explain complex ideas to Finance and Non-Finance colleagues. Key Accountabilities: Ensure Finance influence and support in decision-making processes, delivering commercial insight by producing the relevant information, analysis of different scenarios, challenging the assumptions and determining the risks. Providing analysis on divisional performance including variances to Budget, Latest Forecast and Prior year Detailed analysis/reporting by Sales channel and Brand for UK, Export, Wholesale & Retail on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis Ownership of budget/forecasting for sales and gross profit for each division including the Brewery & Commercial teams Sales and gross profit reporting and insight at both a site and category level Leading post analysis and insights of the impact on price and offer changes to spot areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions. Maximise revenue by identifying price opportunities. Support and analysis for Tender reviews, highlighting opportunities. Continuous review and monitoring of the incumbent processes within divisions. Assess existing reporting processes, propose improvements for streamlining and efficiencies point of view. Cross functional collaboration whilst working closely with the wider Finance team, Sales & Marketing, Commercial, Production and Purchasing to reduce duplication and improve efficiencies in our ways of working. Challenge process and decision making based on sales numbers where appropriate. Required experience: Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial finance role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Advance Microsoft skills - especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of EPOS data and/or Business Intelligence applications. Ability to identify profit drivers and produce insightful analysis and commentary. Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and excel modelling skills. Results focused – responsive and delivers work on time.
