Senior Trades Technician - Carpenter
Estates Division is looking to recruit a Carpenter Joiner to carry out various building fabric repairs around the University's Operational Estate. The range of works is vast and requires an interest in building maintenance along with skills in working with all kinds of materials and machine shop and joinery experience.
The ideal candidate will have a good general education with experience in carpentry and joinery. They should have excellent organisational and communication skills along with the ability to work alone or as a team member. A proven qualification in carpentry joinery to NVQ level 3 or similar is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide front line support to University Departments by undertaking routine fabric maintenance and passive fire work throughout the operational estate.
* Work with all kinds of materials and have experience in machine shop and joinery.
* Work alone or as a team member.
