The Role:
The role of Management Accountant will work alongside the Finance Director to assist with day-to-day tasks. Their primary duties will include preparing management information, analysing the school's financial performance and assisting with the preparation of payroll.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include but not be limited to:
1. Complete the month end reporting of P&L, balance sheets and cash flow.
2. Undertake month end analytical reviews by comparison to budget and forecast.
3. Supporting the Finance Director with the preparation of monthly payroll.
4. Supporting the improvement of work streams and continuously strive to improve on operating standards to meet and exceed targets.
5. Evaluating financial information systems and recommending improvements where required.
6. Supporting the Finance Director with preparation for year-end audit.
Your Profile:
7. A strong background in accounting and financial management, ideally studying for a professional qualification.
8. Prior experience working within a management accounts position/team.
9. Exceptional accuracy skills and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight month end deadlines.
11. Computer literate and comfortable using accounting software systems.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary on offer is up to £40,000 plus benefits including a generous pension scheme, free school lunches and free on-site parking.
