Wood is recruiting for a Staffing Coordinator to support the optimisation of project staffing requirements across the Consulting Business Unit within the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region to support successful delivery of projects.
The position can be based at any of our UK offices on a Hybrid basis.
The Role
The role of the Staffing Coordinator is to support the optimisation of project resource requirements across the Consulting Business Unit within their region to support successful delivery of projects. This role is part of the Consulting staffing function and will report to the Global Staffing Director.
The Staffing Coordinator will utilize the tools and processes developed for the Staffing Function to support the Consulting business in reducing some of the administration burden with internal resourcing and to develop a robust forecast of team utilization. This support will help leaders to focus their time maximising utilization and winning work for their team, as well as providing new opportunities for technical resources within the region to work on projects globally to better fulfil their career aspirations.
The Staffing Function is fundamental to the Consulting Operating Model and impacts effective utilization (and hence profitability), employee engagement and retention, and effectiveness of leaders.

Responsibilities
* Proactively support the business in maintaining a forecast of demand and capacity for their teams within the Staffing Tool, including providing technical support and guidance on how to input and maintain data within the tool
* Support the mobilisation of resources by managing the Request for Technical Services (RTS) process on behalf of local project and business leaders
* Proactively provide insights into team billability as well as support to improve billability by searching for alternative internal work across other parts of the business
* Identify existing internal Consulting resources with niche or specific skill sets using the Staffing search tools
* Support the maintenance of the global CV repository, by supporting CV collation within the specific region
* Promoting and supporting the use of the Global Engineering Centre (GEC – Chennai)
* Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with local leaders within area of responsibility
* Drive standardization and consistency across regional staffing activities which support a growth focused approach to workforce planning by helping to improve tools and processes
* Identification and where required escalation of issues or blockers to the Global Staffing Director

Expected
* Experience in a role requiring coordination and multiple stakeholder management

* Advanced MS Office skills, particularly with MS Excel
Desirable
* Proven experience in project resourcing and/or workforce planning within an engineering organisation
