Job Description Key Responsibilities: Oversee the complete installation, commissioning, and integration of Building Management Systems (BMS) for data centers, with a focus on HVAC and process water systems. Supervise and manage both the BMS engineering team and the installation contractors to ensure tasks are executed according to project plans, specifications, and deadlines. Provide leadership and guidance to the BMS team, ensuring all commissioning and testing activities are performed accurately. Monitor and coordinate the work of installation contractors, ensuring compliance with project design, safety standards, and quality expectations. Act as the liaison between the BMS team, contractors, and other on-site stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and efficient resolution of any project-related issues. Manage project schedules and milestones, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and deadlines are met. Lead and attend regular site coordination meetings with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to review progress, address issues, and align on next steps. Prepare and submit regular site progress reports, detailing installation and commissioning status, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken. Ensure BMS installation activities are in line with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and provide high-level guidance on BMS network and system issues, ensuring that all technical problems are addressed effectively. Take ownership of overall project delivery, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope. Work closely with project managers, commissioning managers, and other relevant personnel to ensure the project is aligned with overall objectives and that risks are identified and mitigated. Mentor and develop junior team members, promoting knowledge-sharing and skill development within the team. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in supervising BMS installation and commissioning, including managing teams and coordinating contractors on-site. Experience managing BMS projects for data centers or similar environments, with a strong focus on HVAC and process water systems. Project management experience, with familiarity in resource planning, scheduling, and managing timelines. Full project management expertise is not required but beneficial. Strong knowledge of BMS control systems, communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.), and system troubleshooting, with a high-level understanding of control logic and network configurations. Ability to supervise and manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and internal teams, ensuring alignment and timely project delivery. Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation, such as P&IDs, electrical schematics, and sequence of operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience leading meetings and delivering clear, concise reports to stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of the project.
