Description Amazon Fresh is seeking a Marketing Manager to own our local marketing capabilities for stores in the UK. From local and offline media, to landlord relationships, to owning our CRM activity, to store level analysis and action planning. This is a key role with direct impact on the business performance, and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of grocery retail with us. The role sits in the Amazon Fresh Shops Marketing team who own our Local marketing efforts around our stores and our in-store marketing presence. The team also owns Rapid Delivery (Deliveroo) marketing efforts. The team sits alongside Trade, Online and Brand marketing functions within Amazon Fresh. We have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for someone to both drive today's performance and build for the future with us. At the core of the role, you will have a deep understanding of individual store performance dynamics and the driving inputs. You will ideate plans to improve performance and execute in partnership with other teams and utilising your own marketing resources. This will vary over time and between stores, from small scale activity, to larger campaigns. One size doesn't fit all. You will use your experience of offline and local marketing, deep store knowledge and commercial performance to decide what actions to take. You will need to earn trust with stakeholders to get feedback and inputs then drive activity, review, and optimise. This function works closely with our store, central store operations and trade marketing teams to bring our trade plan to life for customers through local marketing channels. This role is varied in that each store needs different activities, you are expected to know store level performance and action plans, whilst being able to centralise this into single workstreams for efficiency and frugality. You will own our CRM execution with channels like email, push and direct mail to reach customers whilst also running localised mass marketing campaigns with channels like door drop, feet on the street, events and other channels you decide to run. You will work with external agencies to activate activities and with internal teams and tools as needed. You will be self-sufficient and be able to deep dive, build plans, communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership and put plans into action yourself. The ideal candidate will have experience with local marketing, physical marketing, offline channels and physical retail. Key job responsibilities Owns store performance forum with cross functional stakeholders to monitor and influence store performance through input/output changes and implementation of related marketing initiatives. Owns execution of marketing activities targeted at a customer segmentation framework and drives growth including acquisition of new, growth of active, retention, and reducing churn. Owns go-to-market plans for new stores, refits and closures including planning, activating and reviewing offline marketing channels. Owns email, push and direct mail channels including performance tracking, optimising and automation roadmaps. Partners with Store Operations to manage store team sales incentives. Partners with Store Operations to coordinate community initiatives and associated marketing activation. Translate the Trade Plan into customer-facing assets for your channels, working with internal and external design resources. Manage third party print agency day-to-day. Constantly test and learn, iterating on the proposition to improve customer experience. Identify opportunities to improve your customer experience and develop solutions and implement. Visit stores and maintain relationships with store leadership to get feedback from the shop floor. A day in the life Review sales performance for business, regions, clusters and stores. Review inputs and have a point of view on what is driving store performance. Decide and implement actions to improve store performance. Visit stores, sites, and areas around stores. Build and maintain relationships with store and corporate stakeholders Maintain landlord relationships. Work on go-to-market plans, post-implementation reviews and live activity. Optimise in-flight campaigns. Utilise third-party resources to action activities as needed. Input into business reporting and commentaries as needed Manage budget, POs and track to ensure frugality.
