We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead and support a diverse team of department managers. This includes overseeing Operations (Customer Services, Planning, and Food & Beverage Management), Audit Resources, Technical/Accreditation, and Quality.
In this pivotal role, you will drive alignment across these key functions, ensuring they work cohesively towards our shared business objectives. Your focus will be on providing strategic direction in line with the goals of the DNV Regional Team and the UK unit, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high standards across all departments.
Key Functions:
* Operations (Customer Services, Planning, and Food & Beverage Management): This function ensures the smooth running of day-to-day activities, including managing customer interactions, planning and scheduling, and overseeing food and beverage services to meet customer expectations and operational efficiency.
* Audit Resources: This team is responsible for conducting customer audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that all processes meet the required benchmarks.
* Technical/Accreditation: This function focuses on maintaining technical standards and maintaining necessary accreditations. It involves ensuring that all technical aspects of the operations are up to date and meet the required industry standards.
* Quality: dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of our internal service levels. This includes implementing quality control measures, conducting internal audits, and ensuring that all outputs meet the highest standards.
The Production Manager will report directly to the UK Area Manager and play a key role in ensuring business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities for the role:
* Provide clear direction and support to departmental managers, ensuring they are aligned with organisational priorities, KPIs and objectives.
* Work with managers to define additional goals and performance indicators and monitor progress against agreed targets.
* Develop innovative strategies to improve operational processes, resource utilisation, technical compliance and quality management, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
* Conduct regular reviews with department leads, offering guidance and support to drive high performance and resolve challenges.
* Build strong cross-departmental relationships to encourage teamwork and streamline operations.
* Tackle operational challenges head-on, delivering practical and effective solutions to maintain efficiency.
* Act as first point of contact for escalations from departmental managers and aim to reduce direction towards Area Manager.
* Deliver regular updates to Area Manager on departmental achievements, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
* Ensure all teams operate in line with company policies, regulatory standards, and quality expectations.
* Act as a mentor and coach for managers, supporting their growth and ensuring their teams are motivated and productive.
* Act as drop-in support in absence of managers, to ensure business continuity is not affected.
* Support Technical Manager with Accreditation audits, through direct involvement during audits and engagement with Accreditation body directly.

* Demonstrable experience in senior management, overseeing multiple persons or functions.
* Strong understanding of certification body operations, resource and competence management, technical and accreditation requirements and quality assurance.
* Proven ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
* Analytical mindset with a practical approach to solving complex problems.
* Experience managing performance against defined objectives and KPIs.
