The Opportunity
A newly created position offering an exciting opportunity for a versatile legal professional looking to make their mark.
As a valued legal team member, you will work remotely while reporting to the General Counsel. The role offers extensive collaboration with Board Directors, the Executive Team, and Senior Management, allowing you to build strong relationships across the organisation's leadership while contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
Key responsibilities include the following:
1. Providing legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, employment law, intellectual property and corporate governance.
2. Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, legal documents and agreements.
3. Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws.
4. Maintain the Group’s trademark portfolio
5. Support the General Counsel in ensuring Board and Committee Meetings run effectively and efficiently
6. Support the General Counsel in implementing Group GDPR compliance on behalf of the board.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role:
* You must be a UK-qualified solicitor with high-quality legal training from a respected commercial law firm or an in-house legal department.
* You must have substantial experience in contract law.
* You must have company secretarial experience, ideally within a listed environment.
* Any experience you have of working as an in-house lawyer at a pharmaceuticals or bio-technology company would be highly advantageous.
