We have an exciting opportunity for someone to support the Head of Finance and Property with the strategic and operational day-to-day management of a comprehensive, high-quality finance service. The successful applicant will have the technical knowledge to lead our annual closedown process and production of our accounting statements, and will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating and preparing the Council’s annual revenue budget.
The role has responsibility for providing financial advice and support to a diverse range of council services, elected members, and other stakeholders such as the external auditors. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a commitment to creating a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Located in North Nottinghamshire, we are a semi-rural district with excellent links into neighbouring Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire. This makes Bassetlaw an attractive place to live and work.
