Automation Engineer
Location: Wigan, Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool / UK Wide
Contract Duration: Initial 3-month contract (likelihood of extension)
Rates: £30.00p/h - £32.50p/h (Outside IR35)
Key Areas: Electrical / Control Panels / Automation / Installation / Food / Beverage
I am working with a key client based in the Northwest who are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their business on a contract basis. My client are leaders in the build and install of mechanical equipment within the FMCG industries. This contract is an initial 3 months; however, there is a strong likelihood of extension.
Responsibilities:
1. Working UK wide as an Automation Engineer within Food & Beverage industries
2. Testing and troubleshooting after installation is complete
3. Assisting with any wiring and installation where necessary
4. Working closely with the electrical team to ensure the product is to customer satisfaction
5. Working autonomously and independently as well as in a team
Attributes Required:
1. Strong understanding of PLCs with hands-on experience
2. Understanding of how to build large complex panels
3. Strong background in wiring & automation within manufacturing
4. Willingness to work away anywhere in the UK & Ireland
5. Experience within engineering in FMCG or related industries
6. Strong communication skills, working closely with electrical engineers
